PKU Won the Third Place in Both Baseball and Softball Championship Contest
PKU NEWS Tuesday 2005-06-07 At the conclusion of the 11th Baseball and Softball Champion Contest among Universities and Colleges in Beijing, the baseball team and softball team of PKU both won the third place. Fu Tian Gao Gan, one member of the baseball team, who is Japanese, was awarded an honorable title for his excellent performance.
The baseball team and the softball team of PKU were organized and managed by students themselves. Since 2001, in Beijing as well as national contest, they were always the runner-ups or the third winners. After eight years’practice, they had established a perfect and effective system for team members selection, trainings as well as contests. Now, they have reflected the development of baseball and softball games in universities and colleges of Beijing and even the whole country.
It is reported that the baseball team and the softball team of PKU will assemble for training for 20 days during the summer vocation, and on July 16, they will take part in the National Baseball and Softball Champion Contest among Universities and Colleges, acting as the representative of Beijing to Zheng Zhou.
